Premarital Counseling

 

Couples give so much attention to the wedding that sometimes they don’t really consider life together after the wedding. 

​

Premarital counseling has been shown to dramatically improve the quality of married life. Serve & Sow Ministries provides premarital counseling which incorporates several different resources including, among others, The Prepare-Enrich Inventory to help identify unexplored areas of your relationship,  home finances, communication skills and conflict resolution.

Counseling is provided by a certified premarital facilitator. ​It is usually involves 4 sessions lasting from 60-90 minutes each. At the conclusion of the counseling a certificate will be provided that can be used to have $65 of the marriage license fee waived.

Marriage Enrichment Counseling

• No relationship ever stays the same. 

• The circumstances that existed when you first found each other have undoubtedly changed. 

• Jobs change, children may become part of your marriage life, relocation, and any number of other events both challenging and beneficial happen that impact the way that you relate to each other. 

• Your relationship adjusts to the change perhaps reflexively in a survival response just to get through until things settle down.

• What was intended to be temporary just to get through has now become a permanent rut.

• You may get to a point where you feel that something has been lost in your relationship.

 

Using the resources of Prepare/Enrich, a trained facilitator will help you explore your relationship. The goal is to renew or refresh your relationship. We will explore the difficult areas of your relationship with the hope of relieving tension and restoring “that something” that was lost.
